Subject: rpm --help???

What's going on with rpm? I can't install nor query any packages on my YDL
2.0 system. Just on trying a routine install of modutils-2.4.3 from Yellow
Dog doesn't work using their instructions on the Errata page. I tried this
command:
rpm -Fvh modutils-2.4.3-1b.ppc.rpm
RPM gave me a failed message stating that rpm had failed because only
packages with major number <= 3 are supported by this version of RPM.
What is it I seem to be doing wrong?
