Tried what you suggested but it does not help. Sorry. control-panel
itself allows the configuration of modem but offer only 4 options
(corresponding to device 1->4). If I am not mistaken, these are taken up
by keyboard, mouse and other hubs on the iMac

any ways to configure dialup with a command line software? How do I
which port is mapped to the internal modem?
