Using YDL 2.1 , 8500/200-604e, 128 mb Ram, networked to a Linksys 4 port Cable/DSl Router Sw. had to manually set the YDL box to 192.168.1.3. router is at 192.168.1.1 . Pinging the router results in as much as 60% packet loss... Replaced cable to router no effect. The MAC OS on this box works perfectly on the network and internet. The YDL OS on the internet is dog slow, so is email, the only thing that I feel is adequte in function is the news server (home.com) it appears to operate normally. Other units on my network are, PC, 1 ghz AMD,98se; MAC 8500/G3 350, Mac OS 9.1; Asante ethernet to Appletalk Bridge, and the above Linux 8500 and an RCA DCM225 cable modem.... I don't believe my packet loss is hardware , cables and such I do believe it is setup. Is anyone running there YDL OS machine into a Cable/DSL router this is driving me up the wall.
