Unless you're running 1.5pre8 or newer cvs it probably won't work properly.

I managed to get an rpm of 1.5pre8 to compile just now - haven't tested it
(can't from this location) but it's available here if you want to try it:

I may try to get a newer release candidate up and running later on today if
I have time.
