Allright, I think I solved this myself...turns out, I needed to open
port 20 on my firewall for a non-passive connection, and it seemed to
work, as long as the ftp client is set to non-passive...

Okay, I've upgraded (?) my linux box to YDL 2.1, and I've managed to
muddle my way through the new configuration system for xinetd, and I've
enabled proftpd service (I think). Unfortunately, though I can open a
connection to the ftp server, when I try to list the contents of my home
directory, I get the following error message :

    Connecting to (myip.net).
    Connected to (myip.net) -> IP: 1.2.3.4 PORT: 21.

I'm clueless...what's going on here ?

Thanks,
