installing from CD

Hi.
I'm using YDL 1.2.on a Performa 6400. A totla newbie to Linux as i am
I'm reinstalling the system quite otfen, since i mess things
up...now, all of a sudden the install stops after "insert your cd
rom" All i got i is a blue screnn with a black line on the bottom and
a blink in the lower left corner. I have no problems booting from the
cd drive into macos. I've tried zapping pram.
Any suggestions?
