        No, actually the problem was that I was passing the wrong
arg.s to teh kernel. The YDL manual says to pass
"video=aty128fb:vmode:12,cmode:24" to the kernel, but the ',' should
be a ':'. However now X won't load, complaining that the font 'fixed'
couldn't be loaded... any ideas?
