Sorry about that.....I'm compiling a 2.4test9 kernel. And when I did the
config, I issued the command:
make CROSS_COMPILE=powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu- ARCH=ppc config
which automatically put the CONFIG_PPC entry in the autoconf.h file.
