You copy your working kernel's setup, and rename the test kernel (by say,
adding "-test" to the end of the filename (cp vmlinux vmlinux-test) before
dropping it into the same place as your yaboot.tbxi and yaboot.conf files,
For exampel from mine:

What the addition really is is a copy of your working boot section, with
the name of the kernel changed to match (in this case for a kernel which
has been renamed to "vmlinux-test") and change the label so that you can
access it. If it works fine, you can then rename the old one to, oh, say
label = old and the new one to label = linux, and after that, yaboot
defaults to the new one (or actually, whatever is specified in your
"default = " line.

While searching for a working kernel, I had at one point 10 different
kernels specified, all with both ramdisk boot (for the installer) and
