Hi list,
I upgraded my kernel from 2.2 to 2.4.9-a to get sound support for my ibook2,
i have the dvd player, after the upgrade when trying to mount i get
[root@cusbert /]#mount /dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom
mount: block device /dev/hdb is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: Wrong medium type

and a get this message

cusbert kernel: cdrom: pid 679 must open 0_NONBLOCK!
cusbert kernel: cdrom:open failed.

I assume that i need to tell linux about my dvd drive or something ??
setting it as scsi or something in yaboot.conf ?? please help : )
