I tried to install the latest version of qpopper 4. I've successfully
expanded the tarball but when I run ./configure I get an error message of:

loading cache ./config.cache
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... no
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: Installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot
create executables.

I followed a thread posted to this message board some time back about not
having the gcc installed. I did install it (it said successfully) from the
YellowDog Install CD. But I still get the error message.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
