I've been reading on a newsgroup and a BootX discussion arose. 
Someone made the post:

"Yes, you are wrong. All of the PowerPC based machines have OpenFirmware. It's the same as what Suns and PowerPC based workstations (from IBM and Motorola) have. In fact, my linux box is a slightly modified 7500, and I don't ever see MacOS. I have the boot device set in the firmware to be the partition that has my Linux root partition on it. It runs headless in my closet along with the other server machines, so I really don't want to have to deal with MacOS if I can avoid it on that machine.

I did not think this was possible? Has anyone had success in completely eradicating Mac OS from their Old World system while running linux?
