Of course, after weeks of putting my spare time into trying to figure out
how to get my dial-up to work from YDL, it's only right after I write to
the YDL list that I stumble upon a viable configuration. Albeit, I'm
afraid it may be a precarious connection, as I'm not entirely sure that I
could do it again very quickly if necessary. But for now I can at least
read the news...

FYI, part of my problem was not directly that the default route wasn't
setup right; it was that some of the original configuration was set to use
eth0 instead of ppp0 and I was just too blind to notice that I had
forgotten to change it. So, why don't you all take a little break from
what you're doing and laugh at me a bit. I'm now in a position to laugh
along.

I think it's kernel 2.2.x, whichever is in the default install of YDL2.0
