help with 8500 and sonnet G3 card
Hi,
New(er) linux user here.
I just installed the latest version of Yellowdog (version 2.1).
My question is:
Why does linux _not_ recognize my G3 card's true speed?
This is the response I get when I type in cat /proc/cpuinfo

[troy@dwave troy]$ cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor       : 0
cpu             : 740/750
temperature     : 23-25 C (uncalibrated)
clock           : 195MHz
revision        : 131.0 (pvr 0008 8300)
bogomips        : 799.53

machine         : Power Macintosh
motherboard     : AAPL,7500 MacRISC
memory          : 352MB
pmac-generation : OldWorld
[troy@dwave troy]$

The Mac is an upgraded 8500.
Sonnet G3 400mhz w/ 1MB L2 Cache
352MB RAM
SCSI and IDE drives (Sonnet PCI ATA Card)
OS 9.1 and Yellowdog Linux

Any thoughts or suggestions?
I could not find anything in the archives of messages.

Thank you,
Troy
