I know thisis off-topic, but I don't know a single mac/linux user that
doesn't have that x86 box stashed in the closet where noone can see it =]

Slackware doesn't seem to offer a "help" help mailing list, so I figured I'd
give you folks a shot, I've got an ancient old 486 sitting on the desk next
to me, and I'm trying to get slackware installed on it, it uses one of those
old CD-ROM into Soundcard drives, so the CD is out for install, so I want to
do it from a NFS share on my MkLinux box, BUT I can't get the NIC working.
It's a davison, based on their DM9008 chipset, which they claim is completely
compatible with the ne2000 drivers, and as far as window is concerned, it is
a ne2000-ISA, BUT linux doesn't see things that way, anybody got any
experience with this chipset and linux?
