You'll probably need to recompile the kernel from source and and load
Video4Linux as a module. I also loaded i2c and i2c bit bang. I think
that you'll need to edit modules.config with something like this:

# i2c
alias char-major-89 i2c-dev
options i2c-core i2c_debug=1
options i2c-algo-bit bit_test=1

# bttv
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 bttv
options bttv card=31 radio=0
options tuner type=2

The card number depends on what TV card you have.
