Dan,
Can you help me determine why the display colors and depth are all
messed up on my fresh 2.1 install? I've run the default installer on
a PowerMac G4 800DP with Studio Display 17" (ADC) LCD. I selected
this monitor in the installer, and 16 bit color. However, the
resultant display looks to be 8-bit and has an ugly color scheme
(orange and purple), with lots of dithering, with the result being a
muddy, illegible, unusable mess.
Help?
