Hi Dan,
I've experienced a problem with yup working on my 2.0 install and was
wondering a couple of things:

1. I had it recommended that I update my yup application. Could you
point me to the latest version that will work with my PowerCurve 601/120
system.
2. Will the install of this new yup application write over the older
version, i.e. when I try to run yup update will the new version run
(from text command line right after booting up)?
3. Will the yup update take me to updates for 2.0, or will it yup me in
to 2.1?

Thank you.

Being a small software developer myself (small company that is, I'm sort
of a average sized human) I understand what you're going through with
finding the time to get all updates and wishes into the latest version.
My software version "line" has been set at version 2.1 (no relation to
YDL) and I know that there are things even I'd like to see in there, but
they have to wait for 2.2 or the software will never make it to market.
The only way to improve this would be to throw more good bodies at the
project along with healthy sums of cash...

If YDL was a $195 (Cdn) OS update, I'm sure development would happen
faster. Also, if all you had to do was support machines that were G3 and
later (as Apple has), it would be an easier world to program in - but
where would that leave all these old machines?

YDL helped prepare me for OS X before the public beta of that package
was available. OS X has not been completely smooth and they DO charge a
substantial ticket price to take part in their growth.

Everyone on the list who would like Dan and YDL to get things to market
quicker should think of this: for every $150 US you send Terrasoft, Dan
or someone he hires can focus a full day on developing more of what
you're looking for.

cheers all!
