I recently downloaded kernel-2.4.8 src and ppc RPM from
yellowdog at
ftp://ftp.yellowdoglinux.com/pub/linux/distributions/yellowdog/software/kernel-2.4.8-0.4c/
I put this on my dual G4. I had video problems earlier and had
to append the video argument to my yaboot to keep it from
blanking. Maybe this would work better for you. This made the
dmasound module problems go away also.
