        I'm using a PowerBook G3 (Lombard), kernel 2.2.17, and want to
        HotSync a Palm Pilot via the IrDA port. I built the kernel
        with:

                CONFIG_IRDA=m
                CONFIG_IRLAN=m
                CONFIG_IRCOMM=m
                COMFIG_IRDA_COMPRESSION=y
                CONFIG_IRTTY_SIR=m
                CONFIG_IRPORT_SIR=m

        (Which is the minimal set of options for doing just Pilot
        sync'ing, anyway?)

        I set up things as:

                irmanager -d 1
                ln -s ttyS1 /dev/pilot
                irattach /dev/pilot

        According to /var/log/messages, things look like the load
        correctly without error.

        However, when I run:

                pilot-xfer --backup /tmp/pilot

        and tap the HotSync button on the Pilot screen, nothing
        happens. Anybody got this working? If so, please describe
        your configuration. Thanks.

        - Paul
