Subject: error booting YDL.....hdc: lost interrupt

I hadn't booted up to YDL for about a month, and now attempting this
produces the following endless sequence of messages during boot:
hdc: lost interrupt
...
hdd: lost interrupt
...
hda: lost interrupt
...
My system is a G4 with 2 IDE drives, a DVD-RAM, and a Zip drive. I can't
think of anything that has changed on the system since YDL successfully
booted up. I also run MacOS 9.04 and MacOS X DP4 on the same workstation,
different partitions.
Any help would be appreciated.
