Thanks Bob. I too waited patiently for YD2.0 and am rather disappointed.
As a matter of fact, I just began downloading the new Mandrake 8.0 for PPC.
Personally, I would rather work with YD as I am a big fan of Red Hat, but
unless I get some feedback from someone at YellowDog, I guess I will have no
option but to investigate Mandrake.
So, if there is a YellowDog person monitoring this list, at the very least,
please let me know if I am experiencing a known bug, or if I am doing
something wrong.
At this point, all I have done is put the CDROM into the drive and held down
the 'c' key during reboot.

Definitely DONT believe much of what you read on the YDL website. I too
have had nothing
but trouble with YDL. If you read the maillist ... you'll see there are
ALOT of open issues still.
I am trying to setup a Beowolf cluster of 10 Dual 533MHz MACs. They have
been sitting idle
since April waiting for YDL to be straigthened out and BLL to be
delievered. :-(

I am definitely with you. It looks like the machine is still in the boot
process alright. I have tried not only hitting every key, I am thinking
about trying every key again with a hammer. ;)
In case my question was not clear...
I am trying to do a new installation from the YD2.0 CDROM that I made from
the ISO that I downloaded. Perhaps I am mistaken, but isn't on of the "big
deals" with YellowDog how nice and easy their new installer is supposed to
be? I have been working with Linux now for about 4 years, and at this
moment
I feel like a complete idiot.

I have literally spent the last 48 hours searching for some assistance all
over the YelloDog web site, the mailing lists, and even through Google.
Unfortunataly, I am still stuck. I even took the time to re-download the
ISOs and re-burn them. Still nothing. So, I am hoping that someone can at
least tell me what all of this means.
Any input whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
