Here, here...

Is this possible? Since I have both YD2.0 cds, exactly what would I need to
do to make an install from my Mac HD?

I have a brand new 20GB drive just waiting for the new YD installation, but
have plenty of space remaining on the MacOS primary drive.

Thoughts?

Tal

That's very nice of you but I don't want to waste ANYONES money ... I just
want to get YDL installed on it. Now, can I install from Mac HD and if so do
I just download the /yellowdog tree from ftp?

Hey Sean;

I hate to see an unhappy person, so to save you further frustration,
just send me the Powerbook (I'll even pay for shipping!), and I'll pay
for a stinkin' cdrom drive.

Deal?

Pete

The real bummer is that this system was a "gift" (aka friends company
went
dot.bomb and I recovered this system as is" ... so all I have is the
system,
power cord, and mac os 9 and 8 cd's ... I really don't want to have to
pay
like 300 dollars for a stinkin cdrom drive just to install Linux.
