Actually I did burn the ISO for YDL 2 ... but when I try to install off of
it (booting from cdrom since I have "new world" G3) it hangs during the
beginning of the package install and after an hour still had not resumed.

I assume you are trying to install off the CD from YDL. If you've got
access to a burner, just burn a copy of the YDL install CD (I did mine
with toast) - that worked for me on my wallstreet with the DVD drive.
