Got to the Yellow Dog site and read the last paragraph under "Why YDL
2.0?" It says, in part, "And on newer hardware? While we do not yet
support the 2001 G4s with NVIDIA cards, the ATI Rage128-based G3 and G4s
are fast, furious, and rock solid."

(It's not very rock solid, by the way. My G3 crashes HARD--Mac OS
style--every day or so if I work too long in X, or if I try to access an
audio CD with sound disabled in X. 1.2 was more stable, for me.)
