.... you've run Xautoconfig4? The /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file contains a
section like this:

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Card0"
        Option "UseFBDev"
        Driver "ati"
        BusID "PCI:0:14:0"
EndSection

This describes the type of video card and its slot. You need an appropriate
additional description for your new video card - this is the limit of my
knowledge, you should consult the XFree86 web site for more information.
