Thanks for the replies.

The date seems to be working now. It stays the same, but the time is still
not consistent. I don't think that it's the battery. While in Mac OS, the
time and date are accurate every time. My video settings in Linux are exactly
the same as those in MacOS. Except Linux will not work at 32 bit color. I
tried using the xvidtune app that someone recommended to expand my screen to
consume all the monitors screen real estaste, but that application does not
do an accurate resize.

Either way my video settings are enver remembered. Everytime I login, I have
to use Xconfigurator in terminal mode to reset the video settings. Is this
the way it's supposed to be? I have heard some suggestions on how to solve
the date and time issue but nothing on the video problem.
