Subject: bad discs / can't burn my own

I'm installing yellowdoglinux 2.0 for PPC (for the first time, but I do have significant unix experience with 4.2bsd!) and I just got the following error from the installer:
Bug Report Traceback
OSError: [Errno 17] File exists: '/tmp/root/etc/'
File "/usr/lib/yi/mount.py", line 505, in Write
os.mkdir(self.installPath + '/etc');
File "/usr/lib/yi/mount.py', line 335, in configure
return self.Write(face)
File "/usr/lib/yi/template.py", line 56, in __call__
return self.configure(args)
This is being installed on my 2nd disk which is linux only. I made a 10MB autoloader partition, a 256MB swap, and a 18.8GB root partition
Now from reading the articles on the web site, it sounds like YDL let a bad bunch of discs out. Oh well, so what can I do NOW while I wait for them to ship me new ones? (I tried putting a Zip disc in as someone suggested, that didn't help at all) Also, I bought the CD at a local store, will this affect how they ship me a new one?
Also, I was unable to burn my own CDs, this is why I bought the disc today. I tried Toast 4.1 and 5.0.1 (both non-lite), I mounted the iso image with DiskCopy fine, but when I dragged it to the toast window, I got a -108 (out of memory error) so when I boosted Toast's memory to 150M and tried it again, the same thing happened, it just took a few minutes before I got the error.
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks!
