As far as I know, you can just erase the linux partitions and format
them to HFS+ for use in Mac OS if you don't want linux on your system
anymore. I don't use YDL on a New World ROM system, such as the
iBook, so I don't really know. If you're concerned, you can just use
BootX, like an Old World system. The machine will start by booting
into Mac OS, but then you can choose Linux or Mac OS when the BootX
extension loads. If you ever wanted to get rid of linux that way,
then you could just delete the BootX extension and it would be as
though linux was never even there. I know that YDL assigns its own
boot sector when you do the installation, so it shouldn't affect the
other hard drive partitions containing Mac OS.
