I too had problems installing the full package with BootX on a PPC 7600
until I increased the SWAP size to double my RAM size. Then it went alright.
I also made the boot partition 16 MB's ( a bit of voodoo though). Of course
all this on unallocated drive space and the Mac part non HFS+. I used the
text installer since X-systems might use too much overhead. Seems to me that
the installer needs a lot of swap space to calculate everything and unpack
it so this could be logical....
