All you need is the usb external module.
You can get this (although there's a newer version that came out a few
days ago) from the Source RPM kernel-2.2.2-1a.src.rpm.
Install this with rpm -ivh kernel-2.2.2-1a.src.rpm and all
the source code will be placed in /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES.
The usb tarball will be in there as well. To see how the usb module
gets applied to the kernel source look at the kernel spec file
in /usr/src/redhat/SPECS.
