Got x to work by not checking the no video driver box. did a blind boot
and login and startx. Good news x works; gnome appears all is right in
the world except the keyboard doesn't work.
when trying to startx in console after booting with no video driver
checked i get no modes correction. i have relinked all of the
appropriate files (XF68_FBDev to X, and XF86Config in /etc/X11 to
XF86Config in another directory) and copied the the XF86Config.imac to
/etc/X11/XF86Config. So i don't know what to do next.
I ran Xconfigurator again and got 496k video ram.
Is there a console driver yet?
also, i finally got yellowdog to install; the only thing i changed was
not to check for bad blocks on /dev/hda8 as my / directory.
