I have Champion 1.0 (in a cool yellow three ring binder) and got the
new Xconfigurator via ftp. I also ftp a vmlinux and a ram disk image
for the b&w to start with. When I first tried X I got the message:
execue failed for /etc/X11/X (errno 2)
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 11
giving up.
xinit: Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
Just like the FAQ says, I then downloaded the new Xconfigurator which
runs and reports:
There is a problem with your X configuration. You may go
back and modify your configuration or exit now.
The first few times I choose back, then I choose quit. I then tried
to start X and got a fontpath error. I then ftped a copy of
XF86Config.bwg3 and I get the same error. I will be trying a remote
font server after lunch and then kicking and swearing if that fails.
