Thank you to Dan Burcaw, Kevyn Shortell, Reid Ellis
and Joseph L. Hill for help with the X problems I
had on my B&W. In the end I just added the local
fontpath in XF86Config. It looks like this:

    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/FontDir"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/FontDir"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/FontDir"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/FontDir"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/FontDir"

This worked for me and is stable so far. I also had
to get the "new" Xconfigurator and the XF86Config.blueg3.
In the end the fontpath issue was the final stumbling
block.

Once again thanks for the help.

TTFN,

Rich Williams rvw@math.purdue.edu
