If you're using KDE as a desktop environment, you might check out "The
Complete idiot's guide to Linux." I know, the title's obnoxious, but
it's actually pretty good.
Then look at "Running Linux" from O'Reilly, or Mark Sobell's "A
Practical Guide to Linux."
