Soon to be updated?

     Hi.

My only previous experience of Linux for Mac is with MkLinux DR3, which
I stupidly bought just before their release of a new and updated version
which is not compatible with DR3. It would have been better if I had waited
for the new version to be released. The DR3 version is rather primitive and
can in no way compare to, for instance, Mandrake for Intel machines.

An acquaintance recommended that I try Turbolinux, but when it turned
out that Turbolinux no longer supports Macs, he came up with a link for
Yellow Dog instead. Although I don't know more about it than what I have
read at the Yellow Dog site, it seems very interesting, and I expect it to
be more advanced than MkLinux. I am therefore thinking about buying a CD
with Yellow Dog. However, if a new version is about to be released soon, I
think I would prefer to wait until that is out (and gets here -- it will
probably take a month or two for a new version to become available in
Scandinavia).

My question is therefore, are you just about to release a new version
of Yellow Dog, or is it likely that it will be at least half a year until
the next version is released?

                                              Thank you

Well I'd rather drink muddy water, lord
   sleep in a hollow log
Than give my money to Microsoft
And be treated like a dirty dog
