fwiw, I compiled and have run ssh2 (v2.0.13). It requires some
changes in the sshencode.c file, which I'd be happy to send to anyone
who is interested. Hopefully similar changes will find their way
into the next release.
ssh2 is available from <http://www.ssh.org>. To be fair, its
licensing is much more restrictive than OpenSSH.
