I am migrating to LINUX from MacOS 8.1 on a second hard drive in my
7600/132 Power PC. The install was effortless. I booted via BootX
several times, okay. My only problem was pppd kept dropping as I
connected to service provider. That was going to be my first question
to this list: "How do I get kppp to start ppp a upon connect?" But
now I can't even boot into linux. Nothing has changed. Now I get the
kernel scrolling up to:

"kernal panic. Can't mount fs at 8:04" or words to that effect.

Thanks. If I can get yellow dog working, I'm going to buy their full
scenereo distribution, and start transferring my Photoshop skills to
GIMP.
