I'm having a bit of a problem here folks and was wondering if anyone could
help.

I've got:

2 x Linux 2.0.36 MkLinux Boxes running as Primary and Secondary Name Servers
1 x Linux 2.2.7 YellowDog Linux mailhost.

Because of a ssh/RSAREF advisory I removed ssh and updated my yellowdog box
to OpenSSH (that required a glibc update as well - I used some RPM's from
yellowdog to do that).

The same say (Saturday) I updated my 2 name servers to Bind 8.2.2p5 (from
Bind 8.2.1 - because of another advisory) everything seemed to work just
fine (everything was and is resolving) until Monday when I started getting
errors in the syslog:

Dec 20 13:09:00 mulder sendmail[19162]: NAA19160:
to=<Iharder@slyngshot.com>, delay=00:00:09, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp,

Dec 20 13:09:00 mulder sendmail[19162]: NAA19160: NAA19162: DSN: Host
unknown (Name server: mail.briercrest.ca.: host not found)

I also got a couple of these in my mailbox:

Subject: Returned mail: Host unknown (Name server: mail.briercrest.ca.: host
not found)
Auto-Submitted: auto-generated (failure)

On Tuesday there wasn't a *single* failure while today a few more appeared.
I can *always* manually resolve those addresses and there are no named
errors to be found in the bind logs or the syslog.

This is only happening for a couple of the virtualhosts (at least that's all
I've gotten so far) that we have on the mailhost and it is driving me batty.

I've searched at Altavista, Deja.com, and the newsgroups looked through my
O'Reilly Sendmail and Bind books to no avail - I've got no idea what's going
on. Does anyone have any ideas? Got a bone to throw?

Thanks for *any* help at all.
