Subject: Linux/Mac SCSI Support: Please clarify

Can someone please clarify the support (does it work stably) of the
Adaptec Powerdomain (Mac) 2940U2W or 3940U2W devices under YDL CS1.1. I
would like to upgrade my server here, but I can't find any definitive
answers to this. Apparently these devices work fine under Intel-based
linux's, but all I find are messages (mostly old) about problesm with
them under YDL. So, before I spend a wad of departmental budget on U2W
devices, can someone clear this up for me? Thanks very much!
