I've got an hfs partition that only works sometimes, and I can't figure out
why.

Here are some informative little transcripts:

[root@unchosen bdonley]# hmount /dev/sdb6
hmount: /dev/sdb6: error opening medium (Device not configured)
[root@unchosen bdonley]# mount -t hfs /dev/sdb6 /macos
mount: /dev/sdb6 is not a valid block device

Most oddly, it does work sometimes. I've had this error in the past, and it's
gone away and come back. I can't really place what it is.

Any suggestions? Anything I can do to get better info?

Thanks,
 - Ben
