I am attempting to install YDL CS 1.1 on a 7200/75. I am running
under a freshly installed version of OS 8.5.

I have a separate hard drive (2 GB) dedicated to Linux.

I am able to launch BootX without difficulty (RAM disk selected, no
video driver), but I am now getting a repeatable error when
attempting to initialize the CD ROM. (SCSI ID 3). The installation
dialog (console 1) is blank with a cursor at the bottom of the screen.

 From the System Log (console 4):

CD-ROM I/O error: dev0b:00 sector 1057276
scsi0 MEDIUM ERROR channel0, id3, lun0, CDB 0x03 00 00 00 10 00
current error sr0b:00 sns = f0 3
ASC = 2 ASCQ = 0

These lines repeat continuously until I reboot.

It sounds like a problem with the CD-ROM drive itself or maybe a bum
CD? However, these are only stabs in the dark. Any insight would be
greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
