I think, from my last discussion with Tenon, that iTools on Yellowdog
is still beta. I could be wrong. But -- if you take a look at the
tools iTools ships vs. the tools on the standard linux distribution,
consider whether you really need it.

iTools is really a nice way to add stuff missing to MacOS-X-Server,
or add functionality that isn't fairly standard (like webmail or web
crossing), and Tenon has done some interesting stuff throwing in
squid as a web cache and doing the integration for you.

But if you're just looking for the standard stuff, like
Apache/php/mysql/etc, the value of iTools goes down, because that
stuff's more easily available than on macOS-X-Server, if you're at
all comfortable with doing your own integration. used iTools on
M-OS-X-S, but am not planning to on my Yellowdog machine.

Heck, it's Unix, at least as far as I care from the point of view of
using it. Commands I expect to exist exist, do what I expect them to
do, and act the way they're supposed to act. If a duck falls in the
wood and nobody's there to laugh, does it still quack?

having just finished taking a close look at all of this, I went with
Yellowdog. So far, I'm quite happy with the result, and it's working
pretty well on my B/W 350 G3.
