Subject: Whither multibooter?

I know it's "unsupported," but:
I'd like to boot YDL from OpenFirmware. I'm running one of the older 266
desktop G3s, so I think I'm supposed to run Apple's Multibooter to patch OF,
and then run ftp://devel.linuxppc.org/users/harry/fixg3.tgz, but Apple has
yanked Multibooter from their ftp site.
Is that *why* it's unsupported? Should I take this to the LinuxPPC list?
I had been trying to do this using only the instructions at
http://www.linuxppc.org/userguide/of.html and the man pages for nvsetenv, but I
don't think that they're right anymore. The faq-o-matic seems to have the best
information about it.
Any clues?
