Go grab XFree86-100dpi-fonts and 75dpi fonts and try upgrading them to the most
recent versions.

Yes, I know that. What I need to know is what permissions you have set on
these files which I can't see from your summary of the output. In fact, I
wanted to see the permissions you have set at each level of the requested
directory just to make sure they are set correctly (i.e. read permission
is present on all files and execute permission on all directories.
Please run the commands again and redirect the output to a file and send it to
me directly (so the list doens't see the load).

Okay also the following:
cd fonts/misc/
grep fixed fonts.dir > junk
And then send me junk so that I can compare it to mine to see if youa re
missing any specific font fixed font that might be needed.
