IP Masquerading problem

I am trying to set up IP Masquerading, and have followed the several HOWTOs
for both LinuxPPC and MkLinux, but still can't get it to work. Upon booting
when ipfwadm should initialize, I get this error (yes, all 7 of them):

ARP: arp called for own IP address
