Hi all,

I have just tried a new kernel v2.2.15pre4 that was patched with the DVD
extensions available at http://www.opendvd.org. This was in an attempt
to fix my DVD drive access.

An attempt to mount a normal audio CD (I know that's not possible, I
wanted to see if the drive was responding) resulted in Linux hanging
solid, no keyboard, no mouse, no network.

mount /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom
hdc: Enabling Multiword DMA 2
hdc: ATAPI 20x DVD-ROM Drive, 512kB Cache, DMA

Any ideas?
