X server crashes

My X server crashes sometimes when I switch vitual terminals. I can't find
any real pattern to it. Sometimes it crashes right away, other times it
waits, others it waits until I switch back then switch back out. Anyone have
any ideas?

P.S. Also, does anyone know of any decent mod trackers(not just players) that
don't have embeded x86 code in them?
