Hey folks,
I've released version 1.0.1 of install-ssh. I'm going to post the
announcement to Freshmeat but I'd like some people to try it before hand.
If there aren't any big problems, this is the version that's going in
Champion Server 1.1..
New Features in 1.0.1:
* Works with non-standard RPM setups
i.e. where RPMS are built.
New Features in 1.0:
* Portability, Portability, Portability.
You should now be able to run install-ssh
on any Linux machine that uses RPM.
Previous releases required you to be using
Linux on a PPC.
Future:
* Rewrite in C or Perl
(As the script grows, I realize that I can
accomplish the same task in fewer lines of code)
* Internal Network Code
(may use a networking library we're working on
as part of Gone Home developement...)
- No more using wget...
- Has a 'mirror list'
so ftp.cs.hut.fi does not have to
be online for the program to work
* ???
- Suggestions are welcome :)
Later,
Dan
