Hard Drive Install Help

Hi All,
I am a Linux newbie, who is trying hard to do a Hard Drive install of YDL.
I have followed the YDL install doc and every thing goes fine until I choose
Hard Drive Install.
I get the error message "can not find install tree yada-yada-yada".
Could some one please direct me (if there is one, I couldn't find it) to a
Hard Drive install guide, or answer the following:

1. Exactly which files do I need and where do they go?
(I have all the files from the RedHat folder)

2. The directions in the doc call for 2 partitions, one for the Mac (HFS)
and one unallocated (for Linux). The unallocated partition won't show up on
the Mac Desktop right? :{

3. Once I put the stuff in the right place, what's the correct way to enter
the directory in which they reside?

I know a couple of these questions are rather basic, but I am a COMPLETE
beginer when it comes to this.
Also, if a Hard Drive install guide does not exist, with your help I will
put one together.

Thank you in advance,
Justin Avery

PS.
Rev B iMac
32 megs Ram, 4gig hd
3gig hfs, 1 gig unallocated
